Okay so with my first baby, I told people what I wanted to name her and constantly got shot down in one way or another, even by my best friend. This time around (I don’t know the gender yet) I mentioned a name that I kinda liked for a girl, and once again my best friend made me feel like garbage about it. The name I liked was Annette, for a girl. So honestly, I feel like I can’t share any of my name choices with anybody because it hurts my feelings the way they react. I also like the name Eloise for a girl or Theodore for a boy. I guess I like older names this time around. Ultimately it’s up to me since I’m a single mom (he left me after we found out I was pregnant) but it looks like I’ll be filling out the hospital papers before even announcing a name. Anyone else experience similar reactions with people?
