Hello all,

I’m writing this post as I need a little bit of help/reassurance/some help to talk me down a bit. My fiancé and I got engaged in August. He’s American and I’m Canadian and we’ve spent the last few months planning our wedding and figuring out immigration (which is the most painful process and very difficult). We both really want kids as soon as we can have them, however we decided that it makes the most sense to wait until after the wedding and I am in the country full time. We both have been saving up our money so we can have a really special day in Hawaii as his side of the family is from the island, and we thought it would be a really awesome way for us to not only have a wedding but also have it be like a big joint family vacation as well. We had a little bit of an oopsies about 3 or 3.5 weeks ago and I’ve been a bit worried I could be pregnant. My period was supposed to come two days ago and I am late so I decided to take a pregnancy test. To me it looks like there is a very faint pink line and he doesn’t see anything. I will be going to the doctor but I am currently with him in the US so won’t be able to get in for another week to week and a half and I’m panicking a little bit. I know there are a number of reasons my period could be late such as stress and hormonal imbalances and I could just wait the next couple days to see, but I’m very convinced right now that there is a second line there. If y’all don’t mind sharing your opinion I would really appreciate it. As much as now would be an inconvenient time, we both are so excited to be parents and love the idea that we might be. There are a lot of mixed emotions for me right now and I guess I am just needing some opinions. Also he is 30 and I am 26.
