FMLA for US?

Hello! So I have been with my company for 5 months and they offer 6 weeks of maternity leave. If I apply for FMLA at my year mark and I am 6+ months pregnant will I get it? I wasn’t sure if you only get it if you get pregnant after your year mark or what?

Yes, as long as you're there for 12 mo and worked 1250 hours in those 12 months. FMLA doesn't start until the baby is born

Just throwing this out there because of how it is at my work, but FMLA secures your job but short-term disability would pay for the leave.  Again, this is just how my job is and I’m not sure if it’s different elsewhere.
