LH Surge before Period?

Because I recently removed my IUD (literally as in last Monday), I started doing OPKs once a day (Clearblue Advanced), even though I was past assumed ovulation in this current cycle. I was told by my obgyn that typically, it would be difficult to track cycles after iud removal, but because I consistently got my period throughout the years with it that it would be much easier for me. The sooner you get data though the better.

Anyways, it was showing low fertility every day (which is what I was expecting) until yesterday—I was four days out from my expected period yesterday and all of a sudden it showed peak fertility on the opk?! I did it again and same result. My body is 100% telling me I’m about to get my period.

I googled and it says some women experience an LH surge a few days out from their period and OPKs could confuse it—has anyone experienced this too?
