So my husband of 4 years just confided in me that He was molested by his uncle for 2-3 years… (age13-16) he said he always woke up to his uncle touching him and he would pretend to sleep because he was scared. He said he never told a sole because he was scared and now he has nothing else to say about it. It was very brief and he was crying. Then one of our children woke up and I had to tend to them and he hasn’t spoken since. I feel so upset about this and I want to help him as best as I can. I am in complete shock. We have family gatherings with this man…. I don’t want to associate with him and I feel my husband should stay away from him after finding this out. I am also fearful maybe his uncle has done this to others… I don’t know how to approach this… and am trying to be as supportive as I can be to my husband. I would appreciate if anyone else has advice that has been through something like this? I want to be there for him and help him. This happened to him 10 years ago.
