Vagina pain

Hey guys! So I’m just wondering if this is normal or not. Here recently every time I get my period. I have a lot of pain in the vagina. Like I get cramps in my stomach. But the pain in my vagina is so bad I can’t wear a tampon anymore. Even with just pads it hurts. Does anyone else experience this? & what do you do to manage the pain?
