Rental history

Does anyone here know for certain how rental history works? Like is there an actual report they can see or something?? Or is it like if they just call your previous rental to find out stuff??

Basically my husband and I are put in a hard spot. He just started a new job all while we are moving from one rental to another rental. His new job delays the first pay check so he didn't get paid Like we had expected and he can't get an advance. That really put us in a financial crunch especially with moving cost.

So we have atleast 2 truck bed worth of trash that we had planned on taking to the dump because it won't all fit in the trash. However now we are so tied up with money that we couldn't even afford to take it to the dump. So our only option is to take it all to the new house and wait until he does get paid to take it the dump. Or leave it all at the old house and let them deal with it and just take it out of our deposit. So we wouldn't get a deposit back most likely which is fine, I never expect that money back anyways.

But we don't really want to do that because we don't want it to go against us on our rental history, and we truly just don't want to be those people especially since our old rental company have always been so good to us. I'd hate to have trash items just sitting at our new house for about a week however.

And it's not like dirty food or anything like that, it's mainly stuff we don't use/need but that we can't donate because parts are missing or whatever. It's basically just junk not necessarily trash in a sense.

Unicornsdoexist- you actually have a very valid point here, however at the new place we do not pay that portion of the bill. Our landlord pays our trash bill, so I could possibly ask them if we can work something out on it. But they might say no!
