How do I get his number!?!

Hey everyone.

I’m 22F and I work as an aide in a special ed classroom at an elementary school. I’m interested in one of the teachers who’s probably a few years older than me. He teaches 5th grade. He’s so cute and I’ve talked to him a few times before but not recently and nothing too deep. I really want to give him my number or get his but I’m really shy and awkward and here’s the kicker… so is he. I want to shoot my shot but have no idea how to do it without possibly making him feel awkward. I also have no idea if he’s seeing anyone or not already. He doesn’t have Facebook so I can’t look on there. I thought about putting my phone number under his wipers because I do know what he drives but the thought of it makes me nervous. Please help because I’d really like to at least give it a shot!!
