Not sure if anyone can help, but I was approved for Medicaid and chose the United Healthcare plan. I also have insurance through BCBS TX, both are accepted at my obs office. I’m curious if Medicaid becomes my primary and BCBS becomes my secondary? If so does Medicaid typically cover everything at zero cost or will I still have copays? (I didn’t see anything on the website indicating costs) And if Medicaid does cover everything or more than my BCBS does do I get any money back? I was told I needed to pay $849 to my obs office for everything (appointments, delivery, etc.) and have been making monthly payments. My mom gifted me $300 to pay it off after I had already paid the other portion and so now I’m wondering how that works if Medicaid pays everything. I do know it will only pay from the start date of my plan but I would have still had $424 to pay before it was paid off.
