Cleft palate? Or something else?

This ultrasound pic was done @ 25 weeks. My sister pointed this out. Is it a possible cleft palet or something else. Please no negative comments. Thank you!!

my First had a cleft palate which wasn’t detected until after birth, it’s hard to see on ultrasound but my dr’s have always done a “targeted” ultrasound with the babes i’ve had after her and were able to see the palates were fine. Ask for a targeted ultrasound to be sure if it makes you feel more at ease!

They thought my first had a cleft lip & cleft palate and his ultrasounds didn’t look like this one at all & this is a profile pic & doesn’t show the palate. The ultrasounds I saw of my sons palate/lips they were taken from under his jaw / chin with his nose pointing up. That’s how they see the palate inside their mouth. They would have said something if they even thought it was even possible. I got like 5 ultrasounds after they thought my son had it. He didn’t. Ultrasounds can have a lot of shadows on them. I really wouldn’t worry.

Honestly, if baby had something like that you would have been notified early like 12 weeks. They look for abnormalities then and if they see anything off they keep a close eye on how everything is developing. Ultrasound can give very distorted pictures. Try not to worry to much. Don't be afraid to ask that's what their there for.
