Induction at 37 Weeks with diabetes ?

Hi, I am 29 weeks and 3 days, with pre diabetes. I track my sugar levels every day 4 times and my fasting sugar levels are not coming down which causes concern. 
My doctor told me she will be inducing me on my 37 week. 
I am a first time mom, what are the chances of vaginal birth or C-section birth?
Is the baby going to be healthy? No NICU needed? 
I am terrified and scared of having C-section.

Answer

You need insulin or to speak with a nutritionist if your fasting numbers are above 100. 
And 37 weeks is considered full-term. I am a type 1 diabetic (but with good blood sugar control), and my son was born at 37 weeks exactly via c-section (but the c-section was not because of my diabetes), and had no NICU time￼. It’s best that you get your blood sugar in range and under control the best you can.

T1D as well and my doc said they would induce at 39 weeks. Is there something else going on that they would induce earlier than that?
