We live in a 3 bedroom Aparment. Us in one room, his parents in another room, and our roommate in the other room. His dad does absolutely nothing around the house.. except create arguments with my fiancé. Every day is some new shit. My MIL was just away for 3 weeks in England (mind you she hasn’t worked in 3 years, willingly), and my FIL couldn’t even be bothered to cook. He gets off work at 2pm and he KNOWS how to cook, but he waits for my fiancé to get home at 7pm every night so that WE could buy him food. He’d rather starve than feed himself. These three weeks that his wife was away, even the roommate was buying him dinner because he didn’t want to spend anything.

Then the day before my MIL came back, my FIL decided to clean the bathroom.. only because she was coming back. Today we bathed our dog in the only bathroom. Here comes the dad complaining and arguing. Talking about he had just cleaned the bathroom and now we’re washing the dog.. “that’s the shit i don’t like”… Then the wife joins in saying that we should’ve washed & air dried the dog outside in 40 degree whether.. because dogs don’t get cold right? Because dogs can’t get sick right? There’s no warm water in the hose outside, only cold water.

Then my MIL goes off on a tangent about how she just doesn’t like our dog. That she’s sick of him. That he’s annoying because he barks. That she’s tired of hearing us command the dog when she “hasn’t even left her bed yet” (early In the morning). Saying that we need to sell him already. We already have him confined to a small area in the living room because they don’t want him roaming the house, what more do they want?

So obviously I’m upset by this.

When my fiancé asks me what’s wrong I told him how I felt about the arguing everyday and complaining about our dog.. and he laughs. He asked if I was seriously mad about that.. I have been TRYING SO HARD to get us to move. But he’s saying that they rely on us for rent, which is true, but I can’t take this anymore. I told him that eventually I’m going to have to leave, with or without him and he says “BYE”… wow. Just wow.

I want to leave so bad but he says he’s comfortable here. I guess he’d rather me leave alone than have to leave his family to move with me. It’s ridiculous.
