My daughter has had tubes in her ears (for hearing loss and fluid behind the drums) for a little over 6 months. 2 weeks ago, she woke up screaming that her left ear hurt. We did the drops and had a recheck with her ENT. he said it was infected, which was weird because it shouldnt be with tubes. He told me to continue drops and let him know. Now She is sick with a virus similar to a cold, and has been sick for a almost a week. Her right ear started hurting a few days ago, so we started using the drops, and now it’s leaking insane amounts of dark yellow liquid. The ent is closed (it’s Sunday), so I can’t call, but I wanted real experiences with this. Did your kiddo have tubes, and ear infections with them in?

Her hearing is definitely worse when her ears hurt, and I’m worried about the hearing loss & infections. I’ll attach a picture (kinda gross).

No I didn’t dig in her ears with the Q tips… that’s drainage from the outside :(
