Feed from both sides or alternate?

Question

My newborn will be a week on Tuesday and only eats for ten minutes before falling asleep. She is currently eating from alternating sides between feedings. Should I try to feed from both sides per feeding?

It's called block feeding I believe. By only using once breast at a feeding you ensure baby gets the fatty hind milk made later into the feed.

It depends. Sometimes she'll just snack so the next feeding I'll do on the same side. If she feeds for a while I'll alternate to the next breast

I do both. He nurses on one side and then I switch to the other. Next feed start with opposite side.
