Should I not have said something ?
My step - dad gets angry fast with kids. He’s the kind of dad that thinks kids’ should finish their entire plate before they leave the table and if they don’t, he either sends them to bed or make a cussing fuss at them.
Yesterday, we were at the restaurant and my 2 year old son was laying his head down in my lap. I figured he didn’t feel good because he was warm.
My step - dad yanked his little arm and made him sit up. He said, “we don’t do that when I’m around.”
My son was being so good. So quiet!
My son started crying. He goes to say, “I’m about to take my belt off and whip your ***”
To a 2 year old. My son is still a baby. I feel like a grown man shouldn’t be talking to a toddler like that. He shouldn’t be talking to anyone like that. My son isn’t his kid.
I said something. I said, “he was being good and quiet until you yanked his arm.” And to the belt comment, I said, “ No, we don’t do that. He’s a little guy with big feelings”
I am not bringing down family trama and curses! It breaks with me! I’m trying’
