Is sex as a punishment normal? Usually when me & my bf argue because of something he doesn’t like , he’ll be turned off & we won’t have sex for a week or so. This last time he actually used the word “punishment “. 
We’ve never had a deep argument, it’s all petty issues that have resolutions.. so I don’t get sex being off the table

No it’s not normal, it’s actually manipulation tactic to make you feel badly/ do whatever it is he wants/agree with his opinion. It’s a form of emotional abuse.

I don’t want sex after an argument or if we are in conflict. It isn’t a punishment, sex is intimate and if I’m not happy at the moment, I don’t want to have that intimacy.
