40+5 today!

I’ve been having pretty strong, inconsistent contractions for the past 2 days. They come anywhere from minutes to an hour apart. I’ve also been constipated, and straining to use the restroom, although every time I’ve gone something does come out. I’m thinking the contractions are due to severe constipation, my husband thinks I’m in denial and that I’m in labor. I really don’t think I’m in labor, so I want to see if anybody has had a similar experience!
