Do I need to have sex often?

Im TTC and I’ve only been having sex when needed. Like twice in my fertile window, 1 In the start and 2 on a positive ovulation test. Even if I don’t have sex everyday during fertile, are my chances still good as long as I have sex during peak ovulation?

The goal with multiple attempts is that you have more chances for sperm to make it into your uterus and be waiting for that egg to come with ovulation. If you only have sex once near ovulation, you decrease the quantity of sperm given a chance to make it. There’s still a good chance of pregnancy If you have sex near ovulation though!!
Sex at the very beginning of your fertile window is probably less helpful (while sperm CAN live for up to 5 days, they’re lifespan is typically closer to 3). If you plan to just have sex twice, I’d move that first time to 2 days before your positive OPK or ovulation.

I read once that during fertile window you should have sex every other day to increase your chances. That’s what I did which I think was one of the main factors that helped us to conceive so quickly,
