Hello ladies , I want to know what should a girlfriend do in a relationship?

I feel like at times girlfriends get things confused and give these guys free wives without a ring. Drop your opinion below!

Marriage is a piece of paper. You treat your partner with love and respect and they should do the same to you. You can give a man a "wife" without a ring, and he can give you a "husband" without a ring. The problem isn't wife/girlfriend. It's women who put a lot of effort into relationships with shitty men.

Combining finances
Planning for kids
Being a stay-at-home partner
Disciplining partner's kid(s)

I wouldn’t have married my husband if he hadn’t been treating me like I was his wife while we were dating. He paid all our bills, paid my college tuition one semester, prioritized me and our home we were building. I don’t believe in waiting until marriage to treat someone better. What’s the point of dating to marry if you’re saving better treatment of your significant other until after you’re married?

Most people treat a rental property like crap. 
Beat it up, walk with dirty shoes all through it, never fix anything and almost always leave it worse than when they found it.
People who buy a home tend to take care of it. They take their shoes off to walk through it. They fix things that need fixing. They water the yard. They put so much more effort in to the home they own and are paying to own because they have made a very long term and serious financial and emotional 
investment in it and it's theirs to maintain.. it means a lot to them because they have skin in the game. And it’s a reflection on them as a mature person. 
It is literally theirs to maintain and cherish and it means so much more to them than any home they have ever rented. 
Same with a rental car vs. one you are paying for or have paid for. You’re not out redlining until e engine want to explode and sliding around a parking lot typically in your personal car. 
Do you want to be rented and used for basic needs and ran like you’re disposable or someone else’s problem?….or do you wish to be cared for and valued and properly maintained with love and patience and kindness emotionally, and physically, and financially?  
Do you want to grow a proper family and have a legacy in this life??
That’s the difference as I see it.

What the 1950s? I do not understand the relevance of this question at all. Girlfriend/boyfriend wife/husband. No one should be obligated to do anything as a generic gender roles. There should be no expectations on either party to do anything specific. A couple fits together and grows together however it works for them

They're the same. You don't earn a better person by marrying them. 
The only barriers I would consider is combining finances. It would make me nervous to do that with someone I am not married to without some other kind of legal set up in case things went sideways.
