So there was a question posted talking about male led relationships and it got me curious about something. Pardon my ignorance on the topic as I’m not actually very well versed in the world of kink. I was a virgin when I met my husband and he’s all I’ve ever known. He was the kinky one originally and when he finally felt comfortable asking me if I’d be willing to try out some of the stuff (and we both discovered that I enjoyed it too lol) and eventually that led into us having a bit of a 24/7 TPE style relationship, however we are also old fashioned in nature and live by traditional gender roles in our marriage too. This works well for us and we are both very happy with the arrangement. Now where I’m curious is, where is the crossover between the two? Or do they not really coincide? Do people who want a kinky style TPE abide by some form of traditional roles or is it the other way around where many traditional role minded people are kinky? What’s the difference typically between a marriage based on traditional gender roles only versus one based off the kink factor with a total power exchange? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I’m genuinely wondering. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 🤔
