Our daughter doesn’t let her dad comfort her ever

Me and my partner have two children together, 2year old year and 3.5 girl.

Our 2 year old has been breastfed since birth so I u stand why she’s more clingy to me (mainly at bedtime) but Our daughter who is 3.5 for about 1.5 years ish now, will not let her dad/my partner comfort her…especially if I’m around. She always and only wants mummy (me)

I’m a stay at home mum so I’m with them 24/7 and he works Monday-Friday 7-5

And when he’s home he’s always so enthusiastic and happy to see them, hugs them right away and plays with them until bedtime, our two girls are SO excited when daddy’s home they love to run out to him and hug him, play with him.

They love going to the park, or shops with him no problem. But when it comes to one of them getting hurt, like bumping their head they will only want me. If dad tries to comfort them they scream for me.

Bedtime is a NO go, again only wanting me to do bedtime

We’ve only recently managed to get dad to brush her teeth and put her in bed but he then has to go out the room and mummy stay until she’s asleep.

If she wakes in the night, she screams if dad goes near her and will only want me.

Neither of us can understand why she’s like this, he’s getting so upset and really hurt and affected from this, he’s an amazing dad and tries SO hard to be the best he can. Just wondering if anyone has advice or anything to maybe help us out. I’m tired of having to be the only one doing it all, and I feel bad for dad and dad like I said is getting really hurt and frustrated that he feels he can’t do much to help.

Sorry this was long thanks for reading x
