Winter, coats, and car seats
Question for you parents in colder climates. I know that you shouldn’t wear bulky coats under car seat straps. But how exactly do you keep your kids (especially toddler) warm when you get out of the car and walk in to where you’re going? Do you put the coat on quick after you unstrap them? We have a wiggly one year old and trying to quickly get his coat on him in the car without freezing him seems difficult haha. Or do you carry little ones and wrap them in a blanket? That also doesn’t seem ideal because then you’re carrying around a blanket (and a heavy toddler that may not always want to be carried).
Oh, and how do you keep them warm in the car seat if the car is cold?
Slight side note… any tips for getting a toddler to wear a hat? Or do I just accept that his head is going to freeze this winter lol (he immediately takes hats off when we put them on him)
Edit: thank you all! I do follow safe in the seat on Instagram :) I guess I’m mostly wondering how you get costs on little ones in the car once you get to your destination. He acts like wearing his winter coat and not being able to get out of the car immediately when we get to our destination is torture lol. But I guess that’s what we’ll have to do, I’m sure it’ll get easier with practice.
