My husband and I have been trying very hard to stay safe with Covid. We have some underlying conditions and I am pregnant after going through fertility treatments. My in laws do not understand this or respect it at all. My MIL has been sick in bed for 4 days and refused to test for Covid. She then texted us to say she was coming over. My husband was working (giving an important presentation to the CEO of a large client) and responded not to come over. She always still comes when we say no. Since I knew she was coming, I hid in our living room with the lights out trying to keep the dog calm. She was banging on the doors and windows, calling us repeatedly, and standing on a chair looking into the kitchen window. She missed us so much while in bed and wanted to see us and the puppy. I was doing everything I can to keep the dog from barking.

I knew she was very sick and did not want to risk it. This morning she took a test and has Covid. I’m not sure why she wants us to be sick too, why she never listens to any boundaries, why she feels the need to come over uninvited whenever she wants. I know it will only get worse when the baby is here. She is totally the type that would knowingly have RSV and still come over and hold our newborn baby. I’m just at a loss for what to do.

TLDR- I had to hide in the dark in my living room while pregnant. My MIL was banging on doors and windows while Covid postive because she wanted to see her “grand dog”.
