So short story long, my husband had his hormone levels checked per a fitness coach recommendation and his T levels were at the low end of the NORMAL range. So this coach referrs him to this men’s clinic to get vials of testosterone for him to start taking weekly. After a few months we saw massive improvements in his physique and we thought this TRT was a good thing. Well now we are trying to get pregnant and have failed numerous times. Finally got his semen tested and sure enough the chances of us getting pregnant are slim to none! And of course one of the questions they ask him is if he’s on T and he says yes and they pretty much tell him to stop that immediately and give him some other things (HCG and something else) to start taking to help his sperm production kick back into motion. The thing that really grinds my gears is that this is obviously a KNOWN side affect of taking T. Why did nobody stop to ask him if he had plans to start a family in the future and why was this risk not discussed before hand? And the kicker is that his coach KNEW we planned on starting a family this year. I am just so frustrated and pissed off about this whole fucking thing. 🤬

Oh and in rare cases, the infertility is irreversible. Like WTF!!!

Obviously my husband learned his lesson to ask about side affects but that is something significant enough that it should be made KNOWN to people being prescribed.
