Does contractions contractions start in your back???

Currently experiencing pain in my lower back and she's balling up really but the pain is bareable .. could this be the start of labor or just Braxton hicks???

Probably labour starting. How far along are you? I would start timing the contractions x

I’ve had contractions there. See if you can walk/talk through them and time them.

Definitely keep track and call your doctor if it doesn’t go away. I’ve been having lower back pain and a weird cramping feeling in my butt while having some strong Braxton hicks contractions … nothing unbearable though. Usually starts in the evening but then I go to bed and I’m able to sleep, and then I wake up in the morning feeling fine. 
So for me, it’s nothing. This is my 3rd and my doctor said that Braxton hicks can get really strong at the end before true labor starts.  I keep hoping that one of these times it turns into real contractions! The waiting is hard!
