I work in an all male prison and unfortunately I had my miscarriage on shift. I was an hour away from being done for the day, I work 12 hour shifts and I started bleeding excessively. This pregnancy became a blighted ovum a few weeks ago so I was prepared(or so I thought) to finish out the miscarriage soon… I wore large pads every day to try and be prepared for it. I was bleeding so bad and I had to ask the inmates to go get another officer to assist me. So on top of the realization that i’m 100% no longer pregnant, I am extremely embarrassed and i’m headed to work again this morning. 😢😩
