How much water to give 7 month old?

My baby is almost 8 months old and I’ve never given her water.  I still breast feed and give her one to two baby food purées a day.  Am I supposed to be giving her water in a sippy cup by now??

You can offer water with meals but you don't need to give water at this age.

Water is optional. I have a tiny amount with table food to cup train. Open cups and straw cups are best for development.

I would be careful and ask your doctor not anybody on here just to be safe I would ask your pediatrician they would know best they went to school for this. We can only tell you what we know and what are Pediatrician 🩺 told us but my child is not your child, so it would be wise to speak to your doctor.

I give my 7 month old a sippy cup with meals but he doesn't drink much. It's more about offering it and giving him the opportunity to learn to drink from it. 
He's breast fed plus 2 solid meals a day.
