Need advice on jobs and moving

I used to work in a warehouse. I was honestly pretty good at my job. I was a cashier. I then left that job to work for the DOE. I wanted some thing that I could be proud of and I thought that working for the city of New York would be more pay. I was wrong. I make less money now than I did as a cashier. I work for the city of New York (2nd year) but it doesn’t pay me enough to actually live in New York which is crazy. My fiancé and I were thinking about moving upstate once the school year is over. We were thinking about going to Buffalo. Since the cost of living in Buffalo is less, if I work for the DOE in Buffalo I would be making even less money. However if I return to my warehouse job, they could transfer me to their Buffalo location (they 100% do transfers) and my pay would stay the same. I am just questioning whether or not I should really leave the DOE but it is not providing enough. I am also a certified phlebotomist which is another job that I could work while in Buffalo or even here in the city. Since gaining my certification I have not had any real world experience and I am actually very scared to pursue that route so I haven’t. I am very young, I’m only 22. I know making mistakes is normal and will help me grow as a person but I really want to make sure that I am making the right decisions, good decisions, so I really am asking for help and insight. Right now we pay to rent a room. I found a nice place in Buffalo that is a two bedroom townhouse with a full basement and is close to the price we pay now. It is also in walking distance to the warehouse location location. Any advice?
