I had previously had two d&c's for my miscarriages and had a bad feeling about having a 3rd one in one year so I opted for Misoprostol. After reading so many blog posts of horrible experiences I was so scared to take it and came very close to chickening out. So I just wanted to share my experience to add to the non horrific stories. I took 600mg Ibuprofen along with with it which I am assuming helped alot. I took 4 pills orally and needed a 2nd dose 4 hours later and then it finally worked. I had consistent cramping but it was not super painful...I did not feel labor like pain or contractions. After an hour or two of cramps the bleeding started. It was actually quite comical how much I had set up in preparation thinking it was going to be much more of an event than it was. It may have just been since it was so early of a loss I didn't have a lot to pass ...or maybe it didnt fully work? Still need to go back in for follow up...hopefully I don't have to edit post with anything negative.
