Is it okay to put beautifying filters on photos of babies and young children?
My mother-in-law was sending photos to my husband and sent him a photo of our one year old son with his grandfather that had an obvious beauty filter on it. Their noses were smaller, eyes bigger, and faces looked different and unnatural. My husband asked why she edited the photo and she sent the original. The difference was shocking so my husband pointed it out and told her that we are not comfortable with people putting those kinds of filters on photos of our son. She denied that she put any filter and accused him of nitpicking and trying to control what she does with her photos. We are both upset with the situation and her reaction because we don't know how often she does this and who she sends photos like that to. We also don't want our son to see photos of himself like that as he gets older. Thoughts?
