Should you sleep with someone you wouldn't want to have a child with?

If you wouldn't be open to having a baby with them, should you sleep with them (even if you don't intended to have children)?

Use protection. There are many ways to prevent pregnancy and while yes, birth control fails sometimes, there are way too many people having unprotected sex. Having sex in general isn’t the issue- it’s a protection and education issue.

Nope, pregnancy is always a possibility if you’re at fertile age and have all your reproductive organs. I believe hookup culture causes many dysfunctional families and fatherless/motherless homes. 
We all need to be more selective with our sexual partners both men and women.

Even if you use protection, that’s how most people end up in single parent situations. Being careless about who they sleep with. Even when you’re in a relationship you don’t really know the person. People think it’s silly to wait to have sex but I would rather wait than to bring a life into this world without a father as well as no financial, emotional, or parenting support from a partner

If you don't want to have a baby with someone I think you should of course take precautions and be willing to participate in them (heard so many stories of guys being like "I don't wanna kid but don't wanna wear a condom and she won't use pill but I'll still not do anything" like??? Really??).
However I don't agree with the "don't want baby? don't have sex" because A) it will never work out B) it implies that human need/ desire is wrong or should only be for procreation which is going into some weird handmaiden tale territory and C) it implies even if people are safe and accidents happen they still wrong and implies that a baby is almost like a punishment which certainly doesn't help! The whole notion simplifies everything far too much and also stops people from practising safe sex and learning about how to conceive because we get taught at school "best contraception is to not have it" which actually leads to people not understanding the process

Sex isn’t only for procreation, so yes. Sure. There are options available to prevent pregnancy, and if needed, to end a pregnancy. People should just be as smart and as safe as possible, and have fun.

You’re not going to want to have a baby with every person you have sex with. Sex is not only for making babies, it’s for experiencing pleasure. ￼So the answer is no. You should sleep with whoever you want and protect yourself. Accidents happen, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have slept with someone if you didn’t want a baby by them. That’s ridiculous.

I have before and I continue to. Sex isn’t just for making babies. I do want to have kids eventually with my SO, but not now. Should people who don’t want kids never have sex?

I certainly have not been open to having a relationship or children with everyone I’ve had a hardon for. That would be a sad boring world! Use protection and have fun
