Does it hurt to get the arm implant removed?

I have the arm implant birth control and I’m thinking about taking it out because it cause gives me really heavy and painful periods and I remember when I got it put in it hurt me and I was really bruised for like 2 weeks. So my question is does it hurt  more or just the same getting it taken out?

Ive never had the implant but my sister had it a couple years ago... She said that they just numbed the area and then cut a space to pull the implant out of. Youll probably feel a tugging sensation and be sore and bruisy afterwards and itll take time to heal. Its different for everyone though.

No, it shouldn’t hurt during the removal as they numb the area first (just like they do when inserting it). U will feel the sting from the numbing needle & then maybe a tugging sensation when their removing it, but u shouldn’t feel any pain. That said, it being sore/painful after the procedure once the numbness wears off, is possible & completely normal. And yes, u may bruise again as well.

eh i think it’s less, they give you a shot to numb the area and then make a small slice in your arm and pull it out.
