Girard is our last name, Michael is my dad’s name and we’re pretty solid on using it as the middle name.
If we went with William, we would likely use the nickname “Will”, John would either go by “John”, “Jack” or “Johnny”, and we would prefer not to have a nickname for August because neither of us care for the typical nicknames “Auggie” or “Gus”- so just “August”.
