Scratch with rusty metal
Hey guys, first off, I know this isn’t a doctor page so don’t come for me. Just want some advice, and I’m also asking my stepdad who is a chief firefighter for advice too. But I was outside hanging laundry, and there’s a lot of construction going on in my backyard and I wasn’t looking and a rusty piece of metal scratched me. I didn’t notice any blood, it looked like a surface-area scratch but I was still a little concerned and after hanging the rest of the laundry, I went to clean it with soap and running water. This is what it looks like after.
I received my tetanus booster in 2014. I live in a foreign country and don’t yet have a medical doctor. I’ve been reading that it’s usually deeper puncture wounds that would cause a tetanus infection since the C. tetani bacteria thrives in anaerobic environments, so surface environments aren’t so much of a worry. But idk just want to get advice
