Hey everybody! So currently i work at a nursing home and i enjoy working with the residents and enjoy most of the staff. However, i am ready for a change lol. I got into nursing school couple months ago and was originally going to start in Fall 2023. Luckily, i am able to start this January and start a semester early. I want nursing school to be my main priority and to graduate on time.

I need to ask my work if i can go from full time to working weekends only. My family said if i wanna fully quit then to put in my registration letter in now. I wanna keep this job because my insurance is through my job and it’s way cheaper than if i paid on my own.

How do i ask my employee to move to weekends only? Do i tell HR? Do i tell the administrator? Or do i tell my supervisor?

I’m nervous to tell my supervisor because she very dependent on me and in my opinion she lazy. She tries to put all her work on me and my coworker. I guess I’m scared to tell her because what if she says no and refuses to change my schedule? Any tips?
