What are the rules for keeping things your ex’s bought/gave you?

I’m in a new relationship. Kinda new I guess. We’ve been together like 5 months now. 
He doesn’t know I have a pair of gold earrings, a couple rings, a necklace, a purse my mom uses, a hat my brother wears and a some sweaters and shirts my ex bought me while I was with him. 
Is this stuff he needs to know? 
Or should I get rid of some stuff??? Idek what I’d get rid of. I’m not throwing out good quality clothes and jewelry. But is it weird? 
I was with my ex for 5 years. We broke up 2 years ago.

I think getting rid of a gift an ex gave you is stupid. They’re just your ex. They meant something to you at some time and it just seems kinda petty to throw things away just because it was a gift from them

Would you be okay with your boyfriend wearing a watch or necklace his ex girlfriend gave him? I personally wouldnt like it. My husband has a past, fine. That doesnt mean he has to wear it around his neck.

I feel like if they make you uncomfortable then get rid of them. But he doesn't have to know I feel like telling him would make him either mad upset or something. He might get mad and ask why do you still have that stuff or get frustrated that you even told him.
