Anyone have a pet dove and how much do they cost?

I don't know but my first thought is that you can technically just scoop pigeons off the street because they're easy to domesticate and you can legally keep them as pets because it's a long story but essentially they were once pets and we abandoned them 😢 but anyway I'm wondering if you can do that with doves too because that concept makes me laugh lol

We raised them as pets in our giant chicken run alongside the chickens growing up… it was so fun! They’re super friendly, trainable, you can teach them commands and they’ll fly onto your shoulder and cuddle up to you if you handle them/train them from hatchling status! I miss it and hope to do it again one day with my kids but they’re too small for that right now lol. We bought 2 bags of 50lb dove and quail feed a month (we also had like 25 doves) and it was $15 bucks a bag so $30 a month. 🤷🏼‍♀️
