I just need to vent and have reassurance that it's okay 😆

As soon as I got a positive hpt I made an appointment with my PCP. She confirmed and put in my referral for an ob GYN who specializes in mfm (mfm because my last two pregnancies and babes have genetic abnormalities).

Insurance approved the Dr. And I called to schedule. Well I was informed that they do not do prenatal care and that said dr is only for the high risk aspect. I was so upset. They won't even see me until i establish a routine ob. I understand but just blah about it. So I called my PCP right away and informed them. They told me that they would put in a referral for a routine OBGYN and then I can go from there. Well in my insurance portal I keep getting updates that there is a referral approved but when I go to login there's nothing there but the MFM. So after 3 weeks of talking with insurance and finally getting a hold of my PCP, my PCP never put in a new referral. 😭😭

I'm 9 weeks and I feel like I should have been seen already so that I could get proper prenatals and then be seen by the MFM doc.

Are any of you ladies further along and just getting seen by the ob? My youngest is about to be 5, so I completely forgot what is typical lol

Should I panic? Should I see if I can find a women's clinic?

I feel so defeated. And need reassurance that it's okay to be seen later....for the first time. 😣
