Can therapy make you worse?
I started going to therapy to help with being a young cancer survivor and childhood trama. I feel like since I’ve started therapy my mental health has gotten worse and obsessively think about everything. I’ve had 5 sessions so far and think she is great but now I have this fear that I’ll become dependent on her for emotional help. Is any of this normal? How to do you know if therapy or the therapist will be beneficial or right for you? I plan to bring up this up to her but just curious if it’s normal to feel worse?
