Ultrasound help? Dominant follicle/corpus luteum

I’m not sure where to post this…

Does anyone know what the dominant follicle/corpus luteum means? Also what part of the cycle am I in and about when should my period start?
I just got my nexplanon taken out recently so I don’t know when my period would be due because I skipped one the month before.

The dominant follicle is the biggest lead follicle which ovulated the egg. The follicle collapses after the egg is released and transforms into a gland looking like a cyst called corpus luteum. It secretes progesterone and estrogene to mature and sustain the lining during luteal phase and pregnancy if embryo implants. Few days after ovulation corpus luteum is visible on the transviginal ultrasound scan. If it is present you already ovulated and you are in the two weeks wait phase. I am a bit confused about the number of follicles present as they should have gone artretic by now.
