Pacifier?

Tips and tricks for cutting the pacifier usage? My son uses him anytime he needs comforting and definitely for sleeping. It doesn’t seem to impact his talking or noises at all, but the pediatrician did mention she likes to see them dropping them by 15 months.

Most people say just take it cold turkey. But I’ve talked with my sons dentist and I’m personally not taking his until he’s at least 2 🤷🏻‍♀️

Our doctor said drop by age 2 with my first son. We cut the nipple off the nuk and he would hold onto the rim only. Eventually he didn't care about the rim and the nuk was done. Good luck!

Both my kids are pacifier junkies and literally have them constantly.. our pediatrician told us to get rid by latest 3. My daughter started getting bucked teeth too.. but she stopped gradually herself at around 2 years old. She's three now and has perfect teeth and no talking issues at all.

I just took it cold turkey from both my 1 and 3.5 year old (I know so late😬) my 3.5 year old only used her for bed time but she depended on it and it was starting to mess with her teeth. She has always been addicted to it. It was the hardest thing to take away. So I just went ahead and took it away from my October baby at the same time lol. But our pediatrician and dentist said by 2 is the recommendation. I tried the weaning overtime and it didn’t work for us
