For the back story behind this question. I am an identical twin. My mother actually got pregnant naturally with triplets. Me and my sister were in one sac and we had a triplet brother in another sac but my mom lost the triplet bother around 20 weeks.

I found out recently I am pregnant and this pregnancy definitely was not planned. I have a 3 year old daughter already and the first trimester is so far is very different then what I experienced with my daughter. I do understand that every pregnancy is different. With my daughter my biggest symptom was hunger and sore boobs. This time I’m having many waves of nausea through out the day, sore boobs, and this dull pelvic pain. Part of me is worried about multiples, but I know symptoms has nothing to do with if you have more then one baby or not. I’ve been trying to schedule my first appointment with my OBs office and haven’t been able to get one scheduled yet.

When I explained my frustration about trying to get an appointment to my mom because i wanted to make sure I only had one baby, she totally blew me off and told me “your not having twins. You’re not sick enough”.

This pissed me off. Both me and my mother are nurses. I am an LVN, and she has her masters degree in nursing. So she tends to make me feel uneducated when it comes to things like this. I tried to explain to her symptoms don’t determinate if your having multiples or not and she argued with me and told me with multiples you have more hormones which makes you sicker and I told her that you don’t always have higher hormones and you aren’t always sick when your pregnant with twins or multiples. She flat out told me I am wrong. So if you had minimal or no symptoms before you found you were having twins please comment so I can show her this and prove my point lol.
