Birth control options

I’m looking for your fav birth control options and pros and cons.

I talked to my OBGYN and told him I can’t do the pill again because I forget to take it. I asked him about the arm implant and he flat out said he won’t do them anymore because he’s had too many women have them get lost in their arm and have to get surgery to have it removed. I asked him about the shot and he said it causes crazy weight gain which I don’t want. Which leaves me with the IUD which he seemed to rave about the most.

I’m just scared of the pain of insertion and I’ve heard some horror stories about it so it scares me that it won’t be inserted right and that my husband will feel it inside me or something.

What birth control do you use? Why do you like it?
