Now I know it sounds like a long time … and I’m honestly almost getting fed up.. but my boyfriend and I have been together for 8 1/2 years… our son will be 4 in February.. we have a house, we do everything together.. yes we have had a bad rough patch in our relationship about 4 years ago .. but I really do think we have over come that and matured and grown in our relationship… but its honestly making me miserable sometimes that he STILL has not proposed to me… I feel sooo unappreciated. In the past we talked about it and it kind of scared him off .. but this year (april 2022) I kind of just broke down and flipped out on him about it . He told me he 100% wants to marry me. He told me when he went away for his best friends birthday for 2 nights (mean while this is back in may) that he has everything planned… still even the other day he asked me a question about when we are married what I would do in certain situations… now it’s December and my birthday is coming up in a few weeks and I just can tell he’s not going to do it… I feel like there’s no way he saved the money by the way he’s talking.. it’s just so frustrating and I’m starting to resent him for not doing it… he swears he’s going to do it and I stopped bringing it up to him … but now I’m starting to just feel like an idiot. He is the type to take extra long to do things.. but this is now like a slap in the face that he’s taking this long. Should I say something if he doesn’t propose for my birthday?
