How to not make sex hurt???

I’m a virgin and I’ve tried to have sex with my bf of 8 years a few times (I’m scared of sex btw) so I’ve been trying. But I’m so tense and scared that it hurts. We’ve tried foreplay, we’ve tried lube etc… nothing is helping it go in smoother. I’m struggling. I just want to have sex and it not hurt… any suggestions??

Sex should not be painful. That is not normal. If you are using lube and taking your time warming up, and it’s still painful, then you need to go to the doctor.

You have to relax. Your you tense it’s not gunna feel good. And I’d you automatically assume it’s going to hurt your going to convince your self it will.
If your scared if sex your probably not ready, just because you want to have sex doesn’t mean you are mentally ready to. If your not comfortable with sex yet don’t force it. Start slow with some touching, and my work your way up to oral acts, and then sex.

Time to see a gyno and/or pelvic floor physical therapist. You may have vaginismus or another condition. You could also try working your way up with a set of vaginal dilators but I would definitely start with seeing a doctor.

It hurts because you’re tense and scared. You need to slow down and not have sex until your body and mind are ready. Just lay next to each other and touch, kiss, etc. find what kind of touches feel good to you.

I agree with the comments about relaxing! Especially your pelvic muscles. I struggled with the same thing but started using CBD infused lube as well as doing stretches! Vaginismus stretches by Lilly physical therapy has helped so much!
