HSG testing?

I’ve never been pregnant after trying for 3 years 
& my partner has no issues. I had a chemical last summer but nothing since. Periods are regular 29-31cds and my periods are 5-6 day long. I get scheduled for my HSG in 6 days(the start of my period). I know what to expect for pain wise. My doc said she might prescribe me medication? Any idea of which ones?? I’m ovulating on day 13 of my cycle

If she’s talking about fertility medication it would likely be Clomid or Femara. It helps assist with ovulation.

I have to schedule my first ever HSG as soon as my cycle starts hopefully in the next 3 days (I had to take provera to induce it). Good luck!

They’ll recommend taking ibuprofen beforehand to help with cramping, and if you wind up having blockages in either of your tubes they’ll likely prescribe antibiotics

After my husband and I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility I was prescribed clomid.

How did it go in the end? I found it quite uncomfortable but my tube was blocked so I don’t know if that’s what made it feel like that. Sort of pinching feeling. I wore a pad on the two hour drive home and I thought all the water had come out. Went out for dinner that night and when I got up from the table I was soaked through and on the chair I’d been sat on!! 😳🫣 so embarrassing 😂

I didn’t need anything during my hsg. Some ppl say its the most painful thing they have experienced others(like me) say it was just uncomfortable.

I’m sorry I should’ve clarified she said fertility medications not pain. I’m not worried about pain I’ll take any pain to get my baby
