Friday, my son woke up from his nap, and when he stood up, he puked everywhere. He is 4.

He did this on Saturday and Sunday as well. He kept saying his stomach was burning or it was cold. Monday, I called his dr, and she said to avoid bringing him in because so many illnesses have been going around. And she called in some nausea medication for him. He hadn’t ate or hardly drank at all over the weekend. The meds really helped and he ate pretty good. He never had a fever from Friday until now. He did have diarrhea on Sunday. But oddly no fever. Monday and Tuesday the meds helped him eat. He’d still run to the trash can like he wanted to throw up, but would gag, and then say he’s fine. (He’s autistic, it’s hard for me to differentiate between when he is acting and when he’s not. 😰)

Today, he woke up from his nap, and has a 102.6 fever. I put a cool pad on his forehead, just gave him Tylenol, and about to give him a bath to help with the fever.

I freak out when he gets sick, especially when it lasts more than 3 days because he’s never been sick this long. I start worrying what if he’s got some kind of blockage or hernia or something. Should I take him to the ER? This is day 6.
