Dr said miscarriage is coming. Can I… ?
I wasn’t drinking any caffeine during this pregnancy. Now that the doctor is confident a miscarriage is coming (there was no fetal pole at 9 weeks on US. There were other issues too, he said there was a chromosome problem from the beginning. We know ovulation date so there is no way I could be measuring behind. The yolk sack is measuring further along too so no way I could be earlier than I thought. It is for sure not a viable pregnancy.) I am not bleeding or spotting yet but he said it’s coming, he saw a build up of blood starting (I forgot the name he called it).
I decided I might as well drink coffee again. I know they say limited caffeine is safe during pregnancy, I was just trying to be as safe as possible since Ive had a history of loss. He told me I can start taking ibuprofen when the pain hits. He said he knows that’s not usually ok in pregnancy but in this case there is no point to avoid it since this is not a viable pregnancy
At what point do you think it’s ok for me to have an alcoholic drink considering the above? Logically I would think it’s ok whenever since there is no way this is a viable pregnancy, but part of me feels like what if by some miracle, I was not going to miscarry. I of course would never do or even think to do this in a normal pregnancy!
