This is for those who don't know what they have and I thought it was a yeast infection and so did my doctor after doing a pelvic exam. So they prescribed me fluconazole for the yeast infection. 3 days later I get a phone call from the doctor that the lab came back and I didn't have yeast infection instead it was bacterial vaginosis and so they said stop taking the fluconazole and prescribed me metronidazole(Flagyl) for the bv and told me to keep the fluconazole just in case because the metronidazole can cause yeast infections. Anyways my symptoms were mainly overactive white discharge that did not smell and slight burning down there. That is all. So never just guess it's just a yeast infection because it may not be.
