So I went today to get an ultrasound to make sure baby was coming along good and to see if there was 1 or 2 babies. I was figuring I was around 8 weeks with how my crazy periods were and that I got a positive test on Nov 12. I have my dr appt on Dec 23 but just wanted to go early. The person doing my ultrasound says my gestational sac is measuring at 5 weeks and can’t see a baby in it. He said it’s too early to see or I have a blighted ovum. He also did an ultrasound over my belly vs vaginal.

With my first pregnancy, I went in thinking I was 9 weeks and baby was measuring at 7.. so it’s happened before. They also did a vaginal ultrasound on me. I haven’t been bleeding and I feel like I did last pregnancy.

I don’t know what to think and I feel like bawling even more as I type this. I don’t want to just to conclusions.. has anyone else had this happen? Thoughts on vaginal vs belly ultrasound?
